Andrea Starrett, Associate | Trusts & Estates

Having focused on tax and estate planning since she began law school, Andrea Starrett has a broad tax background. Andrea is an experienced estate planner and has been working closely with individuals and families to meet their specific estate planning goals. Her areas of expertise include (1) drafting trusts for children that encourage children to spend their inheritance responsibly and to live lives of
achievement and personal values; (2) advising individuals and businesses on California property tax issues; and (3) establishing special needs trusts.

Andrea is a published author, having contributed a chapter about California Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives in the popular and widely used treatise, Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB).

Andrea is an active member of the local tax and estate planning community, being on the executive committee of the Bay Area Young Tax Lawyers.

Andrea completed her LL.M. (master’s degree) in Taxation at Golden Gate University. She earned her law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio where she received a merit scholarship and the highest grade in Business Tax Planning. She is a proud alumna of Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Andrea spends her free time hiking, listening to music, reading, dining, and when she can – traveling.
